[To say culture shock is real would be an understatement. Kiriko knew she was going to have an interesting time come landing in New York. She didn't think she'd get so lost so completely.
Kiriko tucks her cell phone into her hoodies inner pocket, just sighing to herself. She can handle herself just fine in a big city, but it doesn't make the whole thing any less confusing.]
What a pain in the butt...
[She feels a tug from her fox spirit. That is as much warning as the green haired twenty two year old gets as the blue spirit scampers off. Leaving a trail of magic petals in its wake.
Kiriko blinks, before groaning.]
Oh, c'mon- seriously?! We're already lost enough!
[Unbeknownst to Kiriko, the fox spirit felt a pull of another kind of magic, and went to investigate.
This is how one turtle of a ninja variety, in his top side clothing finds a small animal circling his ankles. The glowing blue spirit bonking her head against his beefy ankles demandingly.]
[ Raph can count the number of times something like has ever happened to him on one hand. Which says a lot, considering he's only got three fingers per hand to start with.
Can't even count on mystic animals for that kinda thing. It's been actual years by now, and Mayhem still won't give him the time of day. This right here? A blessing. Raph knows better than to ignore it. ]
Hey, little guy. [ (gender neutral). Raph immediately crouches down to start delivering on pets while he has the chance. ] What you doin' way out here? You get lost?
[ Probably from the Hidden City or something, right? ]
[The fox's tail starts waggling at the attention, tongue lolling out of the side of its mouth. It bumps its head against Raph's hand aggressively for more.
Kiriko for her part, tugs on her magical connection to the fox spirit. Managing to track it down after a few minutes of petting.
Kiriko stalls in the alleyway entrance. She can't make out much but the fox spirit's glow.
She takes a few steps into the alley.]
...Ooookay, so you can definitely see my fox then.
Can you come over here-? [She calls out to the fox spirit.
The fox spirit just smugly bonks its face against Raphs hands hard.]
[ Raph has to consider that this could look a little villainous from the outside perspective. Like creep-in-an-alleyway stuff.
Not that mutant in the streetlights is probably much better. The older he's gotten, the less he blends in with humans off-hand. It's a fine line to walk even for New York; big, wide, spiky, all that. He's kinda trying to save figuring out a cloaking broach for down the line. (Be too weird, he thinks, having his body be his but not his. He's not ready to deal with it.)
But this is clearly a magic animal... but magic doesn't equal mutants being cool... but it's weird to just not say anything. ]
Okay, so I swear I'm not tryin' to foxnap it. [ The reassurance we all crave, deep down. ] But, uh. Yeah. Very visible. Sorry.
[The fox spirt winds around Raph's ankles, yipping at him. Kiriko rolls her eyes.
This guy is... unusual looking, but, if her fox spirit likes him, he can't be bad. The fox spirit is particular.]
Apparently, she wants you to foxnap her. [Should someone whose barely 5'3 walk into an alley by herself in New York? No. Probably not. Kiriko isn't worried.
Kiriko's own natural curiosity drives her forward. Unafraid, even in a city she doesn't know. Even with a stranger above her weight class in a dark alley.]
The fact you can see her is also, kind of shocking. Do you have experience with magic? Spirits?
